Thanks sister jennie, lots of good information to continue to serve our children. I used the one voice, two fingers up , it worked, though i have to remind the 3-5 again and again, it's awesome to work with children.

Hello everyone I have been working in the childerns ministry for more than 3yrs now. I started Sunday mornings with the 3yr olds but for most of the 3rys I have been teaching the 4 & 5 yr olds. At Baldwin Park PC we have a quartly system. We rotate teachers every 3 months. I just got off track but there was a need for the toddler class 1 & 2yrs olds. I love kids so offered to help right away. I find it to be a different type of challenge to teach them since they can not sit still for to long. Right now I do a lesson from the bible using a flannel board which is also hands on and have a short coloring page. I have a dvd with worship songs which they love to watch and dance to but I'm not sure what else I can do with them, oh yea we have snack time. I spend close to 2 hours and most of the time I can finish on time depending on how many toddlers I have that morning but if anyone has any ideas I would love to hear them. Thank you

I have a ministry in Children's Church in La Habra. We are going on 3 years doing it and I love to lead the children to the Lord. Since our pastor is Greg Cole, we give the children COLE CASH (play money printed up) The children earn it if they bring a bible, offering, learn bible verse, or just listen and participate. It has been a big incentive for the children and the seeds are planted in as they can go shopping after our service. I have a small toys and a big clear container of candy they can buy with their COLE CASH. I love new ideas so keep sending your fresh ideas to lead our children!

Hi everyone, Just wanted to say thanks Jennie this is truly a blessing to me to have this Ministry Corner to talk with orthers and get ideas. I am from the Chino Valley Church; Pastor Ruben and Virgie Gutierrez and I am blessed to be given this challenge to oversee our Children's Ministry.

Oh, you guys these are all really great ideas! I have one to teach about Creation. I know more and more in the public schools God is being pushed out and Evolution in. I think it is our job at church (yes, as well as the parent- mostly us) to offset what they are being fed at school.
So my idea: =) I taught my kiddos about Creation by (for example) on day 1 you take what God created cut it out of magazine (or to make it look neater you can print something from on line) but I think the kids learn better the more involved they are! So, anyhow, I had them seek things like land, sea, darkness, light, ect... then they paste what God created on day 1 on a piece of paper labeled DAY 1! =) Anyway, while your at it read them the scripture verse that relates. Talk about how everything around them started on day 1. =) I like to emphasise that even Dinosours were created on day 6 with the rest of the animals. you know, discuss it.
Anyway, hope that helps.....and that it made sense!

Hi Praise Chapel Teachers..
Just wanted to share another ideal with you guys... soon at PCSFS we will be having a kids outreach with all our teachers and students. To teach our kids how to share Gods Word, also we will be having a Free Family Movie Night ,..which we will be giving our kids flyers to pass out in our community. through this they will see the seed that was sown thru the outreach. I beleive thru this our Kids will be more motivated to share and not be embarressed of being a Christian.Hope this helps God Bless!!

I would also like to share an idea... well you know how public schools have a daily reading log for the kids and it needs to be signed by us parents.. well Im gonna have my teachers start handing out a daily reading log and encourage parents to be involoved by signing and making sure thier child is reading their bible daily. and we can also have prizes at the end of the month to encourage the kids for the following month. Thank you Naomi .. prayer is so important. at Santa Fe Springs we Do have morning prayer 1 hour before service for a 1/2hour. I loved the way you explained it. Thanks sis.

I will be bringing your advise up at our next teachers meeting ..
