officially i have been here, since April 17th, in tallinn estonia. i'm living on the european side until God says i need to move elsewhere.
i currently live with my parents Pastor Bobby and Sis Melinda Menchaca. i am here to help not only as an assistant but as a servant within Praise Chapel Estonia. the funny thing is here in estonia once your children turn 18 they are on their own ... they move out and learn to live on their own wages. there are very rare close families that spend time together. once a comment was made "when children turn 18 they should live on their own." my good dad replied "mexican families are of a different culture...we stick together until they are married than they move out with their spouse" :) LOL....
within the next year i will be moving to Poland with Pastor Bobby and Sis Melinda. . .to the city of Warsaw. (if you have never heard of this city i suggest to google it and read the history that comes up...very interesting.) ....there we will labor to build up the body of Christ, Praise Chapel Warsaw.
this wont be easy in any way.... it takes time, prayer, support and trust in the Almighty.
someone once told me that i need to be real and i need to be happy. truly happy. not for anyone else but for myself.... i had to really challenge my thinking and my belief of where i stand on knowing who i am. i've realized this:
i am nothing without Christ.
i dont know real love. i dont know perfect peace of mind. i dont know joy that sustains even in the toughest of times. ....
all i know without Him is that i need Him.
i would drag along each day ... just to be "content" with what i had and the little of this, a little of that.
however when you really reach out and search God .... amazing God ...He is so deep and real.
when Christ becomes the center of everything... not yourself, not people, not family ...Christ. your beliefs your values, your own way of declaring things ...they change.
and in that process you become real. you become different.
i share this with you because this is my life now. .. i dont plan on moving back to the states any time soon.
being here in estonia i was granted a 3 month tourist visa which ends on july 17th ... i have to be out of the country by the 15th at the latest...this was not planned :P lol... originally i was to return to the states in september about 2 weeks prior to my brothers (gabo menchaca) wedding. ...currently i do have a need for $1500 u.s. to return to the states.... once i arrive i am able to stay in dallas texas... and serve in the dallas praise chapel. . .
my return to estonia would be in late october and once here i will apply for residence ...this would allow me to stay within estonia for longer periods of time...
you may wonder what it is i am doing exactly here ...well let me put it this way... baby churches anywhere always need help ! :P outreaching, discipleship classes, bible studies, building relationships with people... and in case you didnt know there are about 8 girls that make up the core of this little church... i have been able to share my decisions my regrets my testimony with them ... wether or not it has made a difference you can ask them ... but if i keep silent about the grace of God in my life ... what more would i have to say?
i share this to ask for your partnership ... in prayer, in support. i am a single missionary and my long term is eastern europe. ... i love not with my own love (causes it fails) but with Christs love who lives in me.
